Mrs. MacDonald

I’m new to the Cornerstone staff, but not to the school, as all of my kids started here in Kindergarten-Readiness, and I’m a graduate myself. I am a passionate advocate for Christian education, and early on, I felt led to commit my teaching career to only exist within the realms of a Christian school. I took Concurrent Education at Queen’s University, receiving my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in sociology and my BEd with English and History teachables in the intermediate/senior divisions. I received my Bachelor of Science in journalism/public relations from Southeastern University in Florida. I’m also a licensed hairstylist and certified makeup artist, and I’ve been privileged to learn more about the beauty industry in New York, Milan, and London. I worked in a salon for many years and freelanced as a newspaper writer and photographer.

My husband and I have been married for over ten years and we had four kids ages four and under when I became a full-time stay-at-home mom. I then ran my own home daycare for approximately two years while part-time homeschooling our kids. Now I’m so eager to begin this journey at Cornerstone, discovering how we’re all a piece of God’s amazing, ultimate plan, and how every student is equipped to be a world-changer. I’m so privileged to be even a small part of witnessing God’s plan unfold in these amazing students’ lives.
